I'm very excited to discuss the opportunity we have inside of the Columbus Community to better the lives of our young men and women.
We have formed and incorporated the company Lead By Action, Inc. It's mission statement is as follows:
Lead By Action, Inc. is a federal 501(c)3 non profit community organization whose mission is to bridge the gap between youth and young adulthood by instructing, mentoring and developing character and leadership through athletic competition and positively developing our neighborhoods and communities in the Southern Georgia and East Alabama area. Through partnerships with other non-profit groups, local businesses and community leaders, LBA Inc. provides an opportunity to give young men, 18 and older, a second chance at a college education and possible collegiate or professional football career and in return these young men commit to giving back to the community through individual mentorship and organized sponsored events.
One subsidiary of Lead By Action, Inc. is the Georgia Tigers, a Minor League football organization that will play in the southeast region. The Georgia Tigers have a unique opportunity to build character and mentor young men and women in our community by providing them the opportunity to further develop their athletic skills on the football field. In exchange for us providing them this opportunity they have agreed to give 4 weeks of service back to the community, 55 men and 20 women who will be able to positively impact their community.
I feel that this relationship strengthens our region and continues to improve the quality of life for our residents. I look for your support in helping us achieve our goals.
